Roomellow is building a more visual way to shop for furniture.
Roomellow helps shoppers see real furniture and home-furnishing products together in their own rooms before they buy. The platform combines AI room visualization with shoppable product catalogs, giving retailers and brands a new way to turn individual products into complete room-shopping experiences.

Shopping for a room, not just a product
Furniture ecommerce is typically organized around individual products. But shoppers often make decisions at the room level: whether a sofa works with a rug, whether a table fits the rest of the space, or whether several pieces will feel cohesive in their own home.
Roomellow is designed around that decision.
A shopper can start with a photo of their room, explore furniture visually in that space, see multiple pieces together, and, when Roomellow is connected to a retailer or brand catalog, continue shopping the actual products used in the design.

Built for furniture commerce
Roomellow is developing retailer-facing experiences that bring room visualization directly into the furniture shopping journey.
The goal is not to replace a retailer's storefront, catalog, brand, or checkout. Roomellow is designed to sit on the shopper-facing side of that infrastructure and help customers understand how products can work together in their own spaces.
Real catalog products
Room experiences can be built around products the retailer or brand actually sells.
Whole-room discovery
Shoppers can explore several complementary products together rather than evaluating every item in isolation.
Existing commerce flow
Roomellow is designed to complement the merchant's existing storefront and checkout experience.

Afroja Akter is the founder of Roomellow, an Austin-based technology company exploring how AI and visualization can make furniture shopping more intuitive. She leads Roomellow's product direction, retailer relationships, business development, and go‑to‑market work.
Roomellow grew from a simple observation: furniture shoppers are frequently asked to make room-level decisions while ecommerce still presents the experience one product at a time. Afroja is building Roomellow around the idea that shoppers should be able to see how real products work together in their own spaces before making a significant purchase.

The idea behind Roomellow
Furniture is one of the most visual, and contextual, things people buy online. A product can look right on its own and still feel completely different once it enters a shopper's home.
At the same time, ecommerce typically asks shoppers to evaluate furniture one SKU at a time.
Roomellow is exploring a different model: start with the shopper's room, bring real products into that context, and make the room itself part of the shopping interface.
